For your consideration is this rare scallop shell whiskey nipper pocket flask attributed to the William Foust Glen Rock PA Distillery. You see many more of the oyster shape and that one is pretty scarce. It is clear hand blown painted glass with a ground top and threaded lip. About 4 7/8’’ tallIn my opinion this is the best of the glass figural nipper flasks and the most difficult to find. This is a great example with the original paint and cork lined cap. The vertical ribs with the raised nubs have slight paint wear that has a nice contrast to the paint. Not sure if this was from normal use or done on purpose for effect. Either way it is a plus that you can see in the window photo. This finely detailed ornate sea scallop is in mint condition and still has a faint whiskey aroma. Even a conchologist would be impressed with the attention to detail. The paint really makes this one pop and stand out. This is a best example that would make a great addition to any figural whiskey collection. You would be hard pressed to find another one of this caliber. Good luck and thanks for looking.
