Beautiful, rare, high quality finegold gilt wire hexagonal jar with lid and finial. This is an unusual piecebecause a gilt metal un-enameled stand is incorporated into the design when made. A very similar jar with this type of stand was recently sold on and that is the only other example of this design I have seen. The jar features 3 alternating panels of phoenix birds on lavender backgrounds with alternating sides of geometric designs. The lid also has a lavender background with a very fine phoenix on one side and an exquisite pawlonia flower on the other side. The finial is enameled with the design of several butterflies on a wired, beige background. The jar stands 5\" tall and almost 4 1/2\" wide at the widest point. Excellent condition - no issues.
