Description

Rare Small Chinese Porcelain Lidded Pot in the form of a Barrel.

Beautifully painted in famille rose enamels on very fine and light porcelian.
Decorated with Characters from \' Wu Shuang Pu \' accompanied with Calligraphy.

Each piece is signed on the inside rim with a single character in iron red.
I believe this is simply a sign of quality and it possibly translates as \'beautiful\' or \'precious object\'.

Qing Dynasty.
Dating to the 19th century.

Measuring 5.8cm(h) x 4.7cm(w).

Condition
Excellent overall condition with no cracks, chips or signs of repair.
Rubbing to the gilding on the raised \'prunts\' that run round the outside of the pot.

Displays very well and would make a marvellous addition to someones collection.
