These silver car miniatures have scale of rarity 4, just one notch down from the top rarity. You do not find them easily.The whole 12 silver car set was sold between 1977-81 for $2160 when silver was in average only a few dollars. In today\'s dollars the set would costapproximately$8,000.

The car is composed of separately cast and applied pieces, so that each small piece could be created with authentic details. The wheels are free turning and the car has its original patina. During original production, an invisible coating was applied to the car to prevent tarnishing, therefore silver polish should be avoided, as it would most likely damage the protective coating. The underside of one of the tire rims is marked sterling silver and bears the Franklin Mint intertwined F and M hallmark.
