This is a lovely RAREGEORGIAN solid sterling silverStiltonscoop or cheesescoop which was made in Birmingham, England in 1816 by the illustrious Georgian silversmith, Samuel Pemberton. It is6 3/8\" long and 1\" across the scoop. It is in a slide action or retractable design and is rather substantial - weighing in at27.3 grams -almost 1troy oz. It isengraved to the blade with the monogram I.

It is in very good condition with only the usual light surface scratching and no dents or repairs - and withfew dingsand NOsplits - SUPER - it is in good working order. It is hallmarked on the reverse of thescoop with SP, lion passant (sterling silver assay mark),anchor, s, George III duty mark showing that it was hallmarked in London in 1816. I have shown the hallmarks so that you can make up your own mind. Postage will be FREE within the UK and from 4.50GBP to international destinations. A really RARE GEORGIANStilton scoop in super condition after almost 200 years!!!!
