ART DECOWALL PLAQUE

A very rare Art Deco wall plaque by the Austrian Goldscheider company, titled \'Madonna mit Zwei Tauben\' (Madonna with Two Doves).

Stunning profile depiction of the Madonna.

Goldscheider Wien logo to the rear and Goldscheider label/sticker to one edge. Impressed model number 8197, c. 1937-8. Also a couple of old paper retailer labels.

Listed on page 486 of the Goldscheider catalogue by Goldscheider/Dechant.

Measures approx. 9.25\"/23.5cm tall x 9\"/22.5cm wide with a depth varying between 0.75\"/2cm and 1.25\"/3cm.

In excellent vintage condition. There are 5 very small nibbles - 1 to the edge of her halo and the others to the bottom edge, all visible in the photos.
