This piece is breathtaking! The product number 445 is from 1880, much earlier than the later 445 shell dish. The condition is excellent. The butterfly is a complete figure with head, eyes, leggs and back and includes detail on the underside of the wings. I grew up in New England and recall many instances of seeing a leaf floating on the lake or river with the edges curled up just like this and I would like to think there may have even been a butterfly on one of those hot summer days when I was a kid. This piece measures 6,75\" and weighs 125.09 grams.
