Up for sale is a very impressive illuminated vellum medieval manuscript Book of Hours leaf, in Latin, France, circa 1450. There is a gold bar border on each side with extending marginal decoration. There are four large initials on backgrounds of bright gold. Other than on old marginal repair of the vellum on the verso (as seen in the pictures) and some minor smudging on the verso, this pretty leaf is in very good condition. It measures approx. 7 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches.
