RARE Italian Vetterli-Vitali & Early Carcano Rifle Pewter Oiler, Nice Condition:

This is an item that is becoming more and more scarce. It is an oil container and applicator for the M1870/78 Italian Vetterli-Vitali Rifles and Carbines. These were also issued with the early Carcano Rifles during the First World War. It is made of a heavy, hard pewter and is about 3\" long. It is in good solid condition, appears to be unused, but shows storage and age dirt. Would clean nicely, but I have always preferred to leave items as I found them. These were never common, but you could find them if you knew where to look. Sarco in New Jersey used to have a decent stock of them and sold them for $15 each for years, but sold out about 10 years ago. As interest in these old Italian firearms has increased, so has interest in their accessories and these are now scarce as hen\'s teeth. If you miss out on this one, you\'ll find another, but this one is nice and solid and is available NOW. You know you need it for your collection!
