This is a fantastic large antique handmade German Sulphide Marble with the rare and super impressive figure of a big exquisitely detailed Majestic Eagle perched on a rock. This is an extremely difficult figure to find in this realistic pose...and expertly crafted with such highly detailed wings, feathers and facial features...a pure work of art!
The figure has a beautiful silvery sheen, with a few small air bubbles on his wings (see pics). The single faceted pontil is positionedunder the eagle. The glass fluoresces under a black light.
It measures just under2 3/16\" (2.159\").
Itjust hassome tiny fleabites/pinpricks and faint scratches...this marble is an absolutely outstanding display piece!
