Breviary and Prayers, in Latin, manuscript on vellum, 18ff unnumbered, written in black ink, with three large decorated initials and several smaller initials in red and blue ink, hide on last few leaves is of a pooer quality so has browned, near contemporary annotations to the last few leaves. 20th century full calf, blind stamped with gilt decorations. Bookplate on front pastedown Letter from the V and A inserted. About 5” x 4”, Northern European (Dutch?), [late fifteenth century].

An attractive small devotional manuscript, possibly a fragment of a larger book of hours. Very well preserved with attractive illumination and decorations, with the addition of further notes at the end of the work.
