This is a unique and rare vintagesigned SPHINX 1282 Christmas tree brooch, getting very harder to find.It is a textured goldtone with tiers and decorated with colorful glass cabochons and clear sparkling baguette candles. This tree is in good vintage condition, rhinestones sparkle, just some minor plating wear noticeable when examined closely, particularly on the tips of two tiers-see pics. It is approx. 2 1/8\"\"high. Both Gallina in Christmas Pins, 2nd ed. and Trowbridge in Christmas Tree Pins include trees by Sphinx and value them highly. According to Trowbridge \"Sphinx is a Bristish company which started business in 1948 ...They make quality pieces using Swarovski crystals. The makers mark may not be readable. However, Sphinx uses a load number for identification.\"
