This is the rare commemorative William Shakespeare 12\" charger. My experience is that the charger is much harder to find than the matching jug. This well designed charger has good crisp molding and coloring - the only damages are a small (less than 1/4 inch) chip under the rim and a 1 1/2inch hairline in from the rim - see photos. It has the slogan \"HE WAS NOT OF AN AGE BUT FOR ALL TIME\" around the outside edge interspaced with the monograms for Shakespeare, Victoria (Queen when this piece was made), Elizabeth (Queen in his time), and a version of his crest - shield with an arrow.
