RARE OLD ANTIQUE THAI MALAYSIAN MAK AXE SWORD NO DHA DAAB:

Being offered is a rare mak axe from the Southern regions of Thailand and the Northern part of Malaysia. This implement is an agricultural tool that easily doubles as a weapon. This is a particularly nice one. It measures 26 1/4\" in total length and features a very thick blade of laminated steel. Another interesting feature of this axe is that the tip of the blade reminds me do some Thai dha and knives. The blade is well forged with visible lamination lines and extended ferrule. The handle is of a dark wood that has developed a nice patina. A steel ferrule is at the base of the grip. Probably had a cap to this ferrule at one point that is no longer present.
