1778 Old Antique LEATHER GERMAN PHILIP WANNEMACHER FAMILY BIBLE Lynn, Lehigh Pennsylvania - Revolutionary War!! See Below for History. I couldn\'t find any information on the second set of names.

Up for sale is a very old German Wannemacher Family Bible. It Has the Old Testament, New Testament and Apocrypha. The Family Name Page is rough and worn but still beautiful with its hand-drawn calligraphic type and floral decorations. See Photos for more detail.

Bible is complete, mostly good and clean pages, with an OK binding for age; tight binding on most pages with some pages at the beginning starting to detach but included. All pages show wear and tear mostly on edges.. A couple of the pages have tears on edge or slits. Mostly good. The main tear is on the Title Page, it is almost completely gone (See photo). However, the Publisher and Roman Numeral Date are still visible. See Photos for more detail.

Book Cover is rough but still has 1 Ornate corner intact, with embossed metal piece. The clasps are missing. See Photos for more detail.

12 full page woodcut engravings in the beginning of the book and smaller ornate header engraved woodcuts throughout. See Photos for more detail.

Research on Philip Wannemacher. He was born in Lynn, Lehigh Pennsylvania on June 16, 1760 to Marx Wannemacher and Catharina. Philip Jacob Wannemacher married Catherine Elizabeth Schutz and had a child. He passed away on September 24th, 1783 in Lynn, Lehigh, PA. Philip was a Private in the American Revolutionary Warand served in Captain Daniel Eyster\'s Company in New Jersey from 1776 - 1777. He was also one of the Pioneer Settlers of Lehigh County, PA. All of this information on Philip Wannemacher has been printed and included in an envelope. This provenance will come with the book.

NOTE* This is a very LARGE Book. Bible Measures approx 16\" x 10.5\" x 4\" thick. It is very heavy and will add some extra shipping costs for me.
