Here is a very rare sword from the indigenous or \"Lumad\" people of the southern Philippines. The sword looks much like a Moro kampillan but is shorter, lighter and with a unique scabbard. The sword is 32in. overall, with a 22in. kampillan style blade that is decorated with silver, brass, and copper inserts. The hilt is carved wood, showing great patina and is decorated with long horse hair. The scabbard is uniquely carved and is bound is woven cord, and also shows a terrific patina.
A rare, unique sword in outstanding condition.
