Up for sale is this rare, original vintage 1954 horse racing Austrian poster by mid century master poster artist Walter Hofmann (1906-1973).
Poster is rendered on the finest poster paper with outstanding inks. A beautiful piece of mid-century advertising art and design with a stylized horse in full racing stride set against a blue background. Perfect for anycollector of items relating to sports, equestrian or mid century design.
Hofmann was a leading Austrian graphic designer who worked primarily in the 1950\'s and 1960\'s and was anearly proponent of the use of new bright ink colors in design. He created wonderful posters for fashion, travel and product advertising.

Measures: Approximately 33\" x 48\".
Condition:Good. Staining on left border. A few small tears and minor wrinkling around the border. Large crease in the lower center. Stains on left border as well as small stains in field on left side. See photos.
