Description : Rare pair of Korean carved Tansu possibly elm wood chests on stands. They have paktong typemetal hinges and hardware with exotic wood fronts. The interior is lined with paper and they can be set up as a chest on chest as seen in the photos.

Size : Each chest 35 1/2\" by 17 1/4\" by 23 3/4\" tall without stand. With stand 30 1/4\" tall. Set up as chest on chest on stand 54\" tall.

Age : 19-20th Century

Condition : Overall the chests are in good condition. They have been well taken care of over the years. The hardware is held together with small nails of which some may become loose during shipping. It is not uncommon that once you receive these chests you may have to tighten up a nail or two which could become loose during shipping.
