A pair of fine Chinese Famille Rose vases. Painted with beautiful flowers onsurface. It has ?Qian Long? marked on the bottom. It will be a very nicecollection.

Basic information:

Famille-rose porcelain is also called Fencaior Ruancai (meaning \'soft colors\'), and later as Yangcai (meaning \'foreigncolors\'), one of the Jingdezhen kiln of the four traditional porcelains, thetreasures of Chinese traditional porcelain craft with pastel porcelainvarieties as main decorative techniques. It is a kind of glaze (painted in theporcelain body) by low-temperature sintering method.It was introduced during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor, possibly around1720. It used mainly pink or purple and remained popular throughout the 18thand the 19th centuries.By the time of the reign of Yongzheng in the Qing dynasty, these shades werefavored over the translucent famille verte (five-colored ware) overglaze colorsthat were previously used. Famille rose porcelain reached a climax ofperfection atJingdezhen, and continued with great delicacy through theQianlong period.
