RARE LARGE GERALD THURSTON LIGHTOLIER MODERN BRASS WALNUT HOURGLASS TABLE LAMPS 1950\'s
- DESIGN: An extremely rare and substantially large vintage Modern Walnut \"Hourglass\" matching table lamps designed by Gerald Thurston for Lightolier lighting designs circa 1950\'s. The parts are manufactured of solid Walnut, Brass / anodized Aluminum and are very well machined and manufactured. They are much larger and heavier compared to similar Lightolier styles of the era so review their dimensions. Although these are a perfectly matched pair they are being offered seperately for your consideration - price is for ONE LAMP ONLY.
- CONDITION: These striking rare Mid Century Modern table lamps are in exceptional condition, completely intact andfully functional. The bases are richly grained solid Walnut bodies which are free of any obvious scars or scratches, just some light finish wear. The polished /anodized brass accents are very clean overall with just some faint dimples & surface rub marks to the center hourglass sections. The Ivory Linen fabric shades are an exact replica custom crafted to the specs of the original shades and the quality white translucent acrylic diffusers are beautiful modern replacements to the originals which are usually warped, tanned, burned, cracked or completely missing - note: low wattage bulbs must be used with the acrylic diffusers installed. The 3-way power switch, sockets and power cord are original and have been inspected and are clean, safe and functional. These were only produced for a very short period of time as Lightolier focused more on style family \"Collection\" groups of designs - that said these rare survivors are the finest you will ever find...try to find just one of these for sale in any condition!
- DIMENSIONS: These large lamps general dimensions are 32\" tall with an overall width of 6\" to the base, the shade is 18\" diameter…bulbs are NOT included.
