Presentation Cane \"Judges of United States Court for China\"

\"The United States Court for China was a United States district court that had extraterritorial jurisdiction over U.S. citizens in China. It existed from 1906 to 1943 and had jurisdiction in civil and criminal matters, with appeals taken to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco.\"

The District had only one judge at a time and grew to incorporate the Philippines and Guam in its jurisdiction.

The 2nd metal band is monogrammed with his initials and hallmarked.


Hallmarks are tiny and difficult to read, they are listed below in order of marking

1st mark may be a 2 in a square,

Sponsors mark is J.F.

Assay Office Mark is a Panther head indicating London

Date letter is a small k

Traditional standard mark is a Crown indicating gold

Standard mark for fineness of metal is difficult to read, appears to be a 18? the last number is partially obscured at the bottom.


Condition: Cane was used and shows wear, metal tip on end of cane is missing, the wood is in good condition.
