This real photo card from Roger’s Studio in Port Arthur (Thunder Bay) capturesthe launch of the J.T. Horne. Theicebreaking steam tug was launched from Western Dry Dock & Shipbuilding(later Port Arthur Shipbuilding) in July 1913, and went into Russian ownershipafter a hazardous ocean crossing. She became the Gorn in 1915, and the Solombalafrom 1920 until she was wrecked in 1943.
