Here is an opportunity to own a piece from my family\'s collection from the 1950\'s Lipper & Mann, Blue Danube. According to the paperwork I have obtained these were purchased in the early 1950\'s and have been a part of our collection since then. These pieces are marked with the banner back stamp which indicates that the pieces were made between 1951-1976. My collection of pieces which I have listed are from the early 1950\'s.
Measures 3 3/4\" High
As per the website, \"The Web site\'s \"The History of Blue Danube\" sections reads: \"The Blue Danube pattern was inspired by a similar pattern created during the Yuan dynasty (1260-1368 A.D.) in China. It represents the design variation attributed to the German artist Kandler. The flowers in the Blue Danube pattern depict the ancient Chinese symbols of good fortune and happiness. The original design, with some variations, made its way to Eastern Europe, where it has been produced for approximately 200 years.\"
Lipper International marked its pieces with a variety of backstamps. The Blue Danube in a banner back-stamp was used from 1951 through 1976.
