Rare Scottish Irish Provincial Sterling Silver Serving Berry Spoons 1800 Antique:
A stunning pair of early provincial sterling silver berry serving spoons. They are hallmarked with the maker’s marks three times, these being ASI or more likely ASL. They test as high-grade silver. I would date them to c1800 most likely Scottish or Irish provincial as they often stamped their marks in this way. They have been beautifully designed having grape vine embossed bowls and superbly engraved grape vine handles. The decoration would have been added in the mid Victorian period. They are in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. They measure over 8.75 inches (22.5cms) long by over 1.75 inches (4.7cms) wide and have a combined weight of 120 grams. A beautifully rare provincial pair.
