RARE STERLING SILVER AFRICAN NEGRO CHILD RIDING GIRAFFE FIGURE ANTIQUE c1905:

A very wellmodelled rare sterling silver giraffe and African negro child figure. It is hallmarked for Chester but I can not read the date letter, it will be c1890-1910. It has been beautifully detailedand well-cast in the form of an African child complete with grass skirt riding a giraffe.It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, the rope around the animals neck has come detached from the child\'s hand and has been twisted around to hold it in place but this his little effect and is very easy to put right should you wish. It is a decent size measuring over 3 inches (7.8cms) tall by approx. 2 inches (5.1cms) wide and weighs 46 grams. A very rare, interesting, and unusual piece.
