RARE STERLING SILVER COCKTAIL BAR LEMON JUICE EXTRACTOR ANTIQUE 1910 ART DECO:

A rare cased sterling silverlemon juice extractor. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1929 with the maker’smarks being those of the Adie Brothers. To work it you remove the Bakeliteplunger and insert the silver tube into the end of the lemon, turning it as youinsert, you then use the plunger to remove its core, the silver tube is leftinside allowing the lemon to be squeezed and its juice to be extracted as andwhen required. It’s the kind of piece that would have adorned a rathersophisticated cocktail bar. It is in perfect condition with the silver beingfree from dings splits and repairs. The case has a few scuffs and is a littlefaded but this is of little significance. It measures 4 inches (10.2cms) longincluding the Bakelite plunger and weighs 16 grams. A very unusual superblydesigned rare and usable piece.
