Presenting an exquisite vintage trinket box designed by
the renowned silversmith, Stuart Devlin, for Strachan.
This exceptionally rare example is a part of the Australian Wildlife Collection
which consists of six different designs. This stunning piece features a beautifully
detailed mother kangaroo complete with baby joey in her pouch. Native grasses
perfectly balance the design. The exquisite design is rendered in relief and inset to the
top of the hinged lid. The style is similar in nature to his award winning designs featured
on Australia\'s first decimal coins which Devlin designed in 1966.
The external body has a quality silver plating with a gilt gold wash featuring internally.
This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no dings, dents,
cracks or repairs. The thick, quality plating remains in sensational, sparkling
condition with no losses or wear. This piece has been very well cared and
appears to have been stored away safely in its original box for years.
This piece stands approx 35mms tall and measures 50mms in diameter.
The underside of the lid is marked \"Australian Native Fauna
Kangaroo by Stuart Devlin\" Devlin\'s signature appears
below this along with the Strachan Australia logo.
This piece comes beautifully presented in its original black felt Strachan box
with fitted interior to accommodate the trinket box. The original Strachan pamphlet depicted
all six of the designs in the series is also present, along with care instructions.
