Description:
For your consideration is this rare stunning art deco trio \" Iceland Poppy \" produced by Paragon. All pieces have the backstamp for the c1923-1933 plus the name. The cup only has a number and it appears to be No: 9572.
Decorated on a black background are stunning bright yellow iceland poppies with orange jewelled centres and bright greenfoliage. The inside to the cup is white and the saucer and side plate have a white centre. All rims are trimmed in a bright yellow and so is the foot to the cup. The handle of the cup is a bright speckled yellow. This trio is truly stunning and all pieces ring true when lightly tapped.
Thecup measuresfrom rim to handleapproximately 11.5cms and is 6.5cms in height. The saucer measuresapproximately 13cms in diameter and side plate measures 14.5cms diameter.
Thiswould make a superb addition to any collection. Please view allphotos and excuse any camera glare. I have noticed that the first photo shows a brown mark on the saucer. I do not know why this appears in the photo as I have double checked the saucer and this brown mark is not there.
Condition:
Thetrio is in very good condition. The yellow trim/detail is in excellentcondition showing hardly any wear, if none at all. There are a few minor scratches to the black on each piece with white showing through. This fault has been mentioned for accuracy and can be seen in the photos. This does not take away any of the beauty to this superb set. There are nochips, other colour/pattern loss, cracks or restoration & no apparentcrazing.
