This is a very interesting page mark, bookmark. Sterling silver made by Gorham Sterling, the symbol on the front is the leaf of a ginkgo tree. It is beautiful and very unique. It is also the only one on or any other online site. I have provided a short history of the Watts and Sons, Inc. May it and the photos tell the story of this charming and beautiful bookmark. I contacted Watt & Sons. They have no more of the bookmarks and do not plan on reordering them
This is your opportunity to own a very different and rare bookmark if you are a collector as it is a retired piece.
All of the sterling bookmarks I have listed are from a private collection.

response has become a vital part of the experience for both buyer and seller. If you have the winning offer and are pleased with your item, please take the time to leave positive response. I will, in turn, do the same.\"Watts store trademark, the bifurcated gingko leaf, is one of Nature’s most exquisitely shaped leaves. Aside from being the oldest tree species on the planet, the gingko is also known to be disease resistant and tolerant of dirt and congestion, therefore often planted in urban areas. In the late 1940’s, when Milwaukee’s city fathers insisted on widespread planting of Dutch Elm trees throughout the city, George Watts stood firmly by his principles and planted gingkoes instead. When Dutch Elm disease was at the Ohio border, the City Forester was heard to remark, “We’ll meet it at the state line with a cloud of DDT!” A knowledgeable botanist in his own right, George planted four ginkgos on Jefferson Street, at his own expense, where they stand today. As a symbol of the integrity of the individual especially in the face of authoritative opposition, we proudly display the gingko leaf on our gleaming gold box gift wrap.\"
