Gorgeousantique 1800s lace handkerchief. Extra fine Brussels needlepoint lace in a very exquisite and unusual pattern - graceful bells, lovely florals, and stripes too! The edges are extravagantly scalloped, with lots of picot embellishments. And note the meeting of lace and linen: the lace flowers literally spillonto the lawn center. This handkerchief is truly beautiful!
It measures approx 15 inches.
Condition is very good, not quite perfect. There are openings and separations in the lace (see especially 2nd photo), and some discolorations and stains across the piece. Still looks amazing.
This Point de Gaze handkerchief was made for a wedding!
