SERIESWARE CANDLESTICKS

Theseare a lovely quite rare and very unusual pair of early royal doulton \'Issac Walton\'pattern Seriesware candlesticks designed by Charles Noke at the Burslem factorythat date to 1906 - see back stamp. They\'re depicted in a square section withslightly serpentine rims and feet and are decorated with a nice hand colouredtransfer printed images of 17th/18th century fishermen while above are greenpainted images of trees and below is a graduated green. The base is backstamped with the Royal Doulton Issac Walton mark and has the painted modelnumber \'D2704\' - see photographs and details. They measure 6 1/2\" (16.5cm) h x 3\" (7.5cm) w at the baseapprox; and are in excellent condition with no defect at all to report, apartfrom light crazing consistent with their age - for see photographs and details.

This is a lovely pair of quite rare Doulton seriesware in a very unusual form that are great condition and with a realistic, yetstill low, start price should attract considerable interest from allcollectors.
