This is a very rare girth for theUS Army regulationM 1913 Muleriding saddle.

The mule saddle was issued with two girths and this is one of them.The other is longer andhas a fasteningbrass buckle for the billet hangingfrom the girthoffered today in this listing.

This girth has a beautiful dark russet color and is marked \"Lawrence\" by the maker. There are also some inspector initials below the name.

The leather is solid and the cotton strands are in excellent condition with no damage.

This rare girth is in outstanding condition and remarkably preserved.
