RARE VINTAGE 1920s GERMAN PAPER MACHE DACHSHUND DOG CANDY CONTAINER GERMANY LOOK:

I have NEVER seen this exact candy container before! So I really don\'t know anything about it!
Sweet (& a little silly!), this looks to me like a DACHSHUND dog w/ its long snout, small body, & long, droopy ears.
I think some of the colored paint detail were AIRBRUSHED (the red & blue) & some were HAND-PAINTED (eyes, nose tip)
Probably circa 1920s or 1930s. Measures about 5.5\"L x 3.75\"H.Made of the old \"paste\" papier mache so it feels hard like composition (almost like plaster) but is NOT heavy like chalkware!
Cleared stamped GERMANY on the bottom.
What looks like the candy \"plug\" on the bottom is permanently attached now (glued down?).There is a hole in the end of the body where maybe a tail once was (???) Again, I\'m not sure what this looked like when it was new...
This will be a very interesting & unusual addition to your vintage candy container collection!
