Description:The Assay Marks depicted in this small work of reference have been collected for a period of over 70 years. Originally, they were assembled and notedby the author and first published in 1927. Since that date, the book has been regularly revised and correctedin the light of continuing research and brought up to date, both by the author until his death and later by others to whom the responsibility of the work was entrusted. The marks have been submitted for investigation to various well-known collectors, also the Masters who, in turn, have held office at the Assay Offices in England,Scotland and Ireland.
Condition: This vintage book is in good condition. The covershows somewear and a sticker ghost (see pictures). The inside pages are in good condition withno creases, no highlighting,no tears and no bent corners.No pages are loose or missing. The binding is tight. Note:the pages have tanned due toaging (see pictures), and the owner\'s name is written on the first page.
