Giuseppe Cappe is anItalian and master sculptor of Capodimonte style porcelain.

Born in Milan 1921-2008,lived in Milan and in Como province where he has the workshop-studio near theRoyal Crown Porcelain Manufactory and where he creates his masterpieces thatare sent all over the world, especially America where they have won the market.Many of his works are now in private collections and museums.Cappé is an artist who has taken inspirationfrom the ranks of the great Italian barocco-alessandra folk tradition of whichthe stuccos by Serpotta (Palermo), the Capodimonte Works and the Neapolitanprecursors are the typical and well-known examples. He often copies faces fromthe characters in his own locale. Cappe has been producing these works of artsince 1946. His works have anunmistakable humor and realism.
