For all you vintage collectors, I picked this unique ring up at an estate sale. It made me look twice due to the odd shaped pearl that was set in the center. After buying it, I investigated as to why people would use odd shaped pearls in jewelry. My findings were astounding! These rare, odd shaped pearls are not easy to come by. It\'s is not often that you find them clean, smooth and in a solid odd form. Since the 1800\'s, ladies have been enamored with these gems of the sea, especially in rare formations.Interestingly enough, someone put much effort into creating this ring long ago. The fine details on the ring show an elaborate leaf design (actually hand carved) holding the rare pearl. The ring is a solid 16 grams of fine 14 karat yellow gold.
