DESCRIPTION & CONDITION
What a TREASURE!! This pair of early Erzgebirge angels was handmade, and hand-painted in the Erzgebirge Mountain region of Germany. The details are lovingly executed with gold leaf overlay and stylized flowers. Candlesticks have been used, and there are some wax remnants in the holders. Figures are in good condition with no significant damage noted. No breaks or cracks, but there is some lovely crazing due to age. These are quite rare in this form. To have a matching pair is absolutely splended!! Truly lovely pieces!!
