IMPOSSIBLE-TO-FIND VINTAGE SYRACUSE CHINA \"FORGET ME NOT\" TEAPOT
For sale is a very hard to find (even Replacements.com doesn\'t have it) federal-shaped 4-cup Forget Me Not teapot with the lid, in mint to near-mint condition. This looks like it was NEVER USED. Clean, clean, clean, inside and out; no cracks, breaks, chips, crazing, or repairs. The only thing I can find is a narrow, 1/8\" long spot next to the gold stripe halfway down the underside of the spout that looks like it did not get the ivory color; it looks like a tiny spot of gray paint (??). Marked on the bottom: FORGET ME NOT SYRACUSE China MADE IN AMERICA. The teapot measures 6 1/2\" tall, 9\" wide from tip of spout to outer edge of handle, and 5\" deep. Pink, blue, yellow, and green floral design around the top of the teapot and bottom of the lid, with gold accents, all against an ivory background. Raised vertical ribs grace the sides of the teapot from bottom to near top. Pattern was used from 1949 to 1966. Complete your collection, replace that one you broke, or fill with chocolate and give to a very special someone on your holiday list!
