We are very pleased to offer this stunning vintage “La Captive” watch in .925 sterling silver! A great addition for any collection! See more info below.

This amazing and rare Art Deco c.1930 Dunhill La Captive watch is made of sterling silver and looks like a lighter at first glance—but when you press the sides the doors open to reveal a clock inside! The clock can also be flipped up and used as a travel clock!The dial has cathedral hands and is signed“DUNHILL CHRONOMETRE TAVANNES”. The Tavannes Watch Co. sterling silver case measures approximately 45mm x 33mm, and has a small loop for a chain.

This beauty has been professionally cleaned and serviced and is running strong on its 15 jewel Tavannes Watch Co. mechanical movement with 3 adjustments, andis keeping good time for a vintage timepiece! Be aware that vintage watches may gain or lose a small amount of time per day as they do not keep quartz accuracy. A watch may need to be adjusted after the stresses of shipping even if it was keeping great time prior to being shipped. There are some minor marks and scratches, but it is overall in beautiful condition! Please view the photos for additional details, and please ask any questions before offerding.
