The Pocket Watches & Movements I Shall Be Listing Have All Been Sealed Within Small Ziplock Bags, and Stored Within His Home For Over 20 Years! Movements have been wound enough to determine whether they are in running condition or not. These Must Be Jeweler Inspected, Serviced/Lubricated Before Use To Prevent Possible Wear & Damage To These Precision Movements. Time Keeping Abilities Have Not Been Tested Unless Otherwise Noted. . I cannot warranty or guarantee these timepieces as they require immediate jeweler inspection, clean & service/lubrication.
We have a very RARE Waltham ROYAL Grade, Model 1924, 19j, 3 Adj. Openface Pocket. Movement database reveals that this watch was within a run quantity of 5,000, and with a TOTAL PRODUCTION of Only 12,779 of this Royal Grade Made!! Watch Size Is Approximately a 12 Size but is listed as a \"Size ColB.\" in database. Case is a 14k White Gold Filled \"Waltham Colonial\" Open Face Case With A Hinged Movement Cover. Crystal is a thicker beveled glass type and appears as new with no scratches or scuffs. Dial has some wear and spotting- please see photos. Although it is hard to see, the hand set is excellent with a perfect blued finish. Back hinged movement cover has engraved initials, and also a VERY SHALLOW and VERY SMALL ripple that should be easy to smooth out. Overall the case is in incredibly fine condition. Now- This watch Does Run BUT IT REQUIRES IMMEDIATE JEWELER CLEAN & SERVICE BEFORE USE- last service date is unknown. I have given this watch one full winding only, (also slightly hard to wind). The movement started right up but then stopped after about 10 minutes. I then blew out the movement using my air bulb and it started right up again and ran flawlessly for nearly 24 hours. Timekeeping was very close. I believe a bit of debris was the culprit that stopped this movement. BUT THIS WATCH DOES REQUIRE IMMEDIATE JEWELER CLEAN & SERVICING/LUBRICATION DUE TO AMOUNT OF TIME IN STORAGE. Do not run this watch until proper servicing has been performed.
