Celebrating the American history of dolls....
Here is a very rare and wonderful, all original, antique printed clothdoll by ArtFabric Mills, c1918, and distributed by Elms & Sellon Co., N.Y. This beauty was part of the cut & sew line of color-printed on heavy linen-like canvas dolls from their fairy tale series, measuring 11 1/2\" tall. He wears finely printed-on, charming striped cotton shirt frock with large red bow tie, very large ruffled collar and blue knee britches with matching vest, white stockings and black boots. He has beautiful long blond curls, page boy fashion down to his shoulders and has lovely blue eyes, eyelashes, eyebrows and shadow and realistic nose along with an sweet mouth. His hands have realistically printed fingers. And the seamstress has sewn on the identification from the pattern across his back. He is in extremely good overall condition as he celebrates 100 years (loc 90). He has no fading or stains, no damages or odors as he is from a smoke free home.
