Nice Antique Root stock war battle club, bottom club in 1st pic. First club on left in 2nd pic. WAKA root stock club made from and using the buttress roots of an uprooted sapling... nearly 200 years ago. Nicely carved and balanced Stone Age type club, a good example and a tribal work of art ofthe19thC. Deadly club capable of cracking a man\'s heads or crushing limps. Fine heavy Ironwood, one of the most dense woods on the planet. No doubt original. Deep patina is all over. C1820 or older. The club was at one time wrapped with a fine string, cord or other material that has left oxidation marks from long ago that show it was once present. Feared by explorers/sailors, this \'weeapon\' is a warrior\'s club. Very hard to find an antique example of these clubs. The STONE AGE carved handle IRONWOOD clubs are highly sought after. Can barely lift with one hand, this is a heavy, old club showing age cracks and small damage to one protrusion. MACE -like head has 7 FLANGES IN ALL........All is solid and no rattle or splintering of wood. Rare, even on ....the window to the world. .......see Fergus Clunie \'s book \" FIJIAN WEAPONS & WARFARE \" figure 14 g. This club i offer here once had the same COIR SINNET wrappings as the one pictured in the book. The wrappings are long gone but their marks remain. A beautiful club and an outstanding example with one old flange chip. Very Rare. Compare to 261647001617 , 271422110908, 231265393354, And 261594386226 are more expensive and not as old and stilll not as nice.
