SelectaVision (sometimes mistakenly listed or described as “Spectravision”) video discs, or Capacitance Electronic Discs, (CEDs) were manufactured from 1981 to 1986 by RCA as a competitor to emerging laser video disc systems and were the last major entertainment system to be designed and manufactured entirely in the U.S.. The cartridges that contain the disc (which the console unit extracted the disc from) have large-format cover art and liner notes on them.

These discs are not compatible with laser discs, DVDs or other entertainment systems.
