Amazingcraftsmanshipon this very oldprimitivefolding wood chair. Not only are both halves carved from the same piece of wood , but both halves have never been apart either. The hinges and all are hand carved out of one solid continuous piece of wood. There are no cuts or glue holding the 2 pieces together. This is like nothing I have ever seen before and probably took months to do. I am the 2rd documented owner, the owner before me got it at an antiqueshop in Leblon , Rio De Janeiro , Brazil back in 1983. It measures 25\" tall and 12.5\" wide when set up. When folded it measures 38.5\" by 12.5 inches , about 2 inches thick. See photos for further details , I cannotstressenough the fact this was carved from ONE piece of wood.
