PLEASE EXCUSE THE GLARE AND SHADOWING IN THE PICTURES. IT IS JUST FROM POOR LIGHTING WHILE PHOTOGRAPHING. The red color of the cabinet is uniform. Also, I apologize for ending the item and relisting it. I realized today that there was another \'hairline\' in the body so Iwanted to include a picture of it and a description. So I Just picked this up fresh this morning, wrapped up in a vintage ladies sweater sitting on the bottom of an old milk crate. So this baby is about as FRESH as it gets! So what we have here, the best that I can tell, is an art-deco period red catalin Emerson AX-235 \"Little Miracle\" tube radio. It measures about 8 3/4\" across, by 5 9/16\" tall by 3 3/4\" deep. I have no idea if it works because it came with this old fabric cord with no plug on the end. I am not an electronicsperson so I will not try and test it so justassume for offerding purposes that it does NOT work and will needto be overhauled in order too get it to function. I can also tell you that it looks like at least 2 of the tubes are missing and that I see a hole on thespeaker cone on the right side when looking through the back. The insides are dusty, as pictured. The power knob does seem to click when rotated to the on position, and when turning the dial knob, the dial does move. Now for the condition of the cabinet. It has just 2 short cracks, as seen close-up in the last 2 pictures. Besides that there is a small chip on the back/rear edge on the upper right side near the screw and one other even smaller chip to the left of that, again on the back outer edge. These small chips are almost insignificant. Besides that there are some scratches and scuffing here and there. The white grill cover also has some wear, like darkening, drying-out, warping, as pictured. The clear dial cover appears to be intact but needs to be repositioned andre-adheared,since right now it just slips down. The Emerson decal logo is also worn, also as pictured. Oh and 1 of the white knobs is missing and the other knob has wear similar to the grill cover. So that about covers the condition issues in general, as far as I can tell. I am not an electronics person so I am doing the best I can. I\'d rather highlight the bad then the good so that you know just what you are getting. I can tell you that compared to others I have seen on recently this one \'ain\'t too shabby\'! With some rehab and tender loving care this baby could GLOW like it did back in the late 1930s which is when I think this is from, say 1938 or so? Feel free to ask questions.
