I have been informed by the original owner of this amp about what he did to it and it is as follows:

I replaced (4) transistors, the gate resistors, both STK chips, the rail caps, the power supply caps and all the little 10uf 50v ones that leak. All parts are OEM (Sanyo , Motorola and Nichicon.

if you had the authorized mcintosh service center do this work, it would cost over 500.00 so this amp is

good to go for another 20 years.

this sale is for a used, mcintosh mcc444 4-channel audiophile amp rated to do 440 watts

but when bridged, sounds double! this is mcintosh\'s biggest 4-channel amp that they ever made

and they are hard to find especially with the end caps and glass. this one has some nicks here and

there which you can see in the pictures but overall, it is a great looking amp that WORKS!

i have shown a picture of the amp on and the power guard light is not lit up. when that light is

lit up and stays lit, the amp is bad. it sounds beautiful and these amps being out the mid-range in the music.

4x110 at 4-ohms

with 2 40 amp fuses, that suggests that 80 amps times 12 volts equals 960 watts which is

what i say the amp is capable but i am sticking to the rms wattage of 440.
