REMARKABLE 19TH CENTURY PAINTED VENETIAN ITALIAN VITRINE RELIQUARY CABINET:

This is a stunning Antique, 19th Century Venetian Paint Decorated Vitrine or Reliquary Cabinet.. This piece has such a great look and interesting shape...the glass door and side panels are dome topped, there is wonderful carving elements on the sides, the interior and two removable shelves are covered in old Fortuni fabric... a great piece, whether placed on a table top or hung on a wall for a display of decorative items..
Cabinet measures approximately 42 1/2\" tall by 31\" at its widest, at the back.. and 17 3/4\" at its deepest..
Condition is time worn, distressed.. The painted surface has numerous areas of paint loss throughout the entire piece.. There is some repainting which is not original to the piece, this can be seen clearly in the photos... The Fortuni fabric on the shelves and the interior is distressed and stained.. the back panel of the piece is not original, it appears to be a piece of masonite... The front door glass has a crack which runs its entire length.. There are cracks in the body of the cabinet and missing molding and gaps in the molding.. Overall, what you see in the photos, shows the piece accurately, it is truly a charming and visually striking piece... and a perfect addition to any Old World interior for that buyer who really appreciates the beauty of imperfection..
