****Wee Forest Folk® is a small family business in Massachusetts that produces a line of miniatures, most of which are mice! Wee Forest Folk began as a cottage industry in 1972 in their farmhouse, Wigwam Brook Farm in Concord, MA and moved to Carlisle, Ma in 1990.
Each Wee Forest Folk piece begins as an original clay piece which is hand sculpted by one of three sculptors in the Petersen family. The finished sculpture is molded and hand cast at the "mouse factory" now in Carlisle, MA. Selected local artists paint each one by hand from their homes.New designs are introduced every year and older ones retired.
Other pieces are designed especially for collector events or a specific retailer event. Those pieces are retired following the event without appearing in the WFF catalog thus are more valuable.
