Up for sale is a rare pair of original Rick Owenssneakers from the F/W 2010-2011collection. The shoes are a size 43 that will fit a UK 9 or US 10. A small 44 (UK 10/US 11) could also wear them due to the oversized toe. This is the original 'Geobasket' style of Rick sneakers with the much nicer basketball-style toebox that was discontinued after this collection and is now completely sold out. I don't need to overstate how rare these sneakers are in this size andinsuch a great shape. Purchased for$1295 from Luisaviaroma's online store in Feb. 2011. Made in italy.Note: Unlike most Rick shoes available on right now, these are guaranteed 100% authentic. These are all fakes: one, two, three. The colourway is my favourite for Rick sneakers, featuring an all-black upper and a contrasting rubber sole. This combination looks great in all-black outfits and also ages very nicely over time unlike the white ones. The construction of the shoes is excellent, with acalf leather shell and lining. The leather is very soft and looks great. The oversized tongue is padded in a squeezy and soft material that feels incredibly comfortable, while the side zip allows for easy wear. Overall, there's a reason why Rick's original styles were so highly sought-after, and this pair is no exception.The sole features Rick's signature staples, and exhibits some minor wear. This has been taken care of with the addition of a high quality rubber sole (that cost around $55 on its own) which not only enhances the grip but ensures that no further wear occurs. As a result, the sneakers still look amazing and have years of life ahead of them.
