Being offered on this sale is porcelain vase made by Rosenthal China, Selb, Bavaria, Germany. One of the most significant German ceramic artists, Walter Mutze (1893 - 1963) designed this vase. He was Rosenthal employee during 1913 – 1961. He is best known for his special procedure \'Granuliertechnik\' (so called patent Mutze of 1951). Beautiful Rosenthal patterns Zaubergarten, Goldrausch (Gold Scent) and Traumland (Dream Country) are made in this technique. Zaubergarten is the most colorful and bright between them. Mutze also designed three Rosenthal Christmas Plates for years 1940 - 1942. Vase on this sale has a very scaled footed kidney shape. This is Rosenthal form number 2541. Vase has gray shadowed background. Gray at the lower part smoothly going to white at the top. It is decorated with embossed design of gold and blue Chinese Cattail flowers and branches. It has a delicate gold rim and gold band around its base. Vase is fully glazed. It is a matte finish vase, not glossy. Looks splendid. Vase is marked on the backside with standard ‘Rosenthale Germany KunstAbteilung Selb’ mark in green. This mark identifies original production of 1935. Other marking is written ‘Handgemalt’ (hand painted) and initials ‘WM’.

Vase measures about 6 ¾” x 3” and stands 5” tall. Condition is immaculate with no cracks or chips found. Colors are bright and vibrant. Gold has no wear. This porcelain is thick and heavy. It looks splendid. Please take a look at the pictures to find out more about this piece of the art.
